Safety and emotional well-being
Safety at OneHuman
OneHuman is a quiet place for emotionally honest stories, audio, and private reflection. Safety here means clear limits, reader choice, careful story handling, privacy honesty, and a calm way to report concerns.

What OneHuman is and is not
OneHuman is a storytelling and reflection platform. It is not therapy, medical care, counseling, diagnosis, clinical review, or an emergency-response service.
Stories and audio may help someone feel less alone, but they are not a substitute for professional support, local crisis care, or trusted people who can respond in real time.
Reader choice and emotional boundaries
OneHuman stories may discuss grief, trauma, loss, emotional exhaustion, survival, uncertainty, and rebuilding.
You can skip a content note, leave a chapter, stop listening, or return later. There are no streaks, public pressure, autoplay expectations, or penalties for stopping.

Content notes
Content notes are provided when advance context may help a reader make an informed choice. They may appear before a journey or chapter that includes difficult subject matter.
Content notes cannot anticipate every personal reaction. If a story feels like too much, leaving it is a valid way to care for yourself.
OneHuman's approach to content notes and story context is described further in the Story Standards.
How stories are handled
Public journeys are shaped before publication through Creator Studio. During private beta, content is reviewed manually by the founder before it is made public.
Story-basis disclosures explain how journeys were created, such as founder lived experience, participant-written stories, interviews, anonymized contributions, composites, or prototypes.
OneHuman does not reward outrage, engagement bait, follower counts, comments, or harmful attention.
Prohibited or unacceptable content
OneHuman is not open for public posting during this beta, but these standards guide story handling, feedback review, and future product decisions.
- content that encourages self-harm, suicide, violence, abuse, harassment, or exploitation
- instructions for causing harm to yourself or another person
- outrage bait, humiliation, or content designed to attract harmful attention
- identifying private information shared without permission
- medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice presented as professional care
- deceptive story claims that hide how a journey was created
Privacy and shared-device considerations
Private reflections, follows, check-ins, reading progress, and Start Here state remain in this browser for now.
People using the same browser or device may be able to see locally stored OneHuman information. Clearing browser storage may permanently remove local data.
Feedback, safety reports, beta applications, and accessibility reports are stored privately for review.

Reporting a safety concern
Use the safety feedback form to report a concern about a story, audio episode, content note, privacy issue, or experience that feels unsafe inside OneHuman.
A safety report is not an emergency-support request. Reports are not monitored continuously, and OneHuman does not promise an immediate response.
Include the page or content involved when possible. Please avoid unnecessary medical details or highly sensitive information.
Manual review during private beta
During private beta, reports and public content are reviewed manually by the founder. OneHuman does not currently claim professional moderation, clinical review, formal safety certification, or 24/7 monitoring.
Manual review may lead to edits, unpublished content, follow-up questions, or no action if the report cannot be verified from the information provided.
Immediate-help guidance
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. OneHuman cannot intervene during an emergency.
In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or use the 988 online chat.
Visitors outside the United States should contact their local emergency services or crisis-support resources.
Current beta limitations
OneHuman is still in private beta. Safety processes, content standards, reporting workflows, and privacy practices may continue to improve before wider launch.
OneHuman does not yet offer accounts for readers, cross-device private state, automated safety triage, or country-specific support routing.
OneHuman's safety commitments
- keep public profiles, comments, likes, follower counts, and public reader posting out of this beta
- use content notes when advance context may help a reader make an informed choice
- explain story basis so readers can understand how a journey was created
- review reports and content manually during private beta without promising continuous monitoring
- avoid rewarding outrage, engagement bait, or harmful attention
- keep urgent-support limits visible instead of implying OneHuman can intervene in emergencies
Closing reassurance
You do not have to finish a story to belong here. You can pause, skip, leave, report a concern, clear local data, or return when you are ready. OneHuman is built to hold quiet proof that someone kept going, not to pressure anyone into staying with a chapter that feels too heavy today.
